Short Description
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is seeking a Tier III Support Engineer to support and implement software applications. The ideal candidate will possess 4+ years of working with Windows Operating Systems and Active Directory, 4+ years of using analytical and problem solving skills, and 4+ years of experience working with SharePoint, File Systems, and LDAP-based directories.
* Note: This position may require occasional travel to the on-site location in Harrisburg, PA.
Required Skills/Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience supporting and implementing software applications
- 4+ years of experience working with Windows Operating Systems and Active Directory
- 4+ years of experience using strong analytical and problem solving skills
- 4+ years of experience working with SharePoint, File Systems, and LDAP-based directories
- 4+ years of experience working with network protocols and cloud-based applications (O365 Suite)
- 4+ years of experience with database concepts or database administration (esp. MS SQL Server)
- 4+ years of experience with value organization, being team-oriented, and self-motivated
- 4+ years of experience managing and prioritizing tasks
Desired Skills/Years of Experience:
- 1+ years of experience managing Netwrix (Stealthbits) StealthAudit system
- 1+ years of experience with logic/scripting/programming (preferably PowerShell)

The Tier III Support Engineer will be tasked to:
- Support and implement software applications
- Use Windows Operating Systems and Active Directory
- Analyze and solve problems
- Work with SharePoint, File Systems, LDAP-based directories, network protocols, and cloud-based applications (esp. those offered in O365 Suite)
- Use their knowledge of database concepts or database administration (esp. MS SQL Server)
- Be team-oriented and self-motivated with a positive attitude
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks based on deadlines and urgency/impact
- Manage Netwrix (Stealthbits) StealthAudit system
- Perform logic/scripting/programming
- Use PowerShell
- Work with Antivirus/Antimalware tools
- Work with UNIX/Linux platforms
