The State of New Jersey’s Department of Human Services (NJDHS) Division of Family Development (DFD) is seeking a SQL Server DBA to design, manage, and maintain the relational/SQL databases, data warehouse, and reporting infrastructure for all applications within DFD. The ideal candidate will possess 7+ years of experience with SQL Schema management, 7+ years of experience using MS SQL Server 2008 and above, and 7+ years of experience with SQL/TSQL development, SSMS, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.
Required Skills/Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- 7+ years of experience with SQL Schema management
- 7+ years of experience with MS SQL Server 2008 and above
- 7+ years of experience with SQL/TSQL development, SSMS, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS
- 5+ years of experience designing databases and data modeling
- 5+ years of experience writing stored procedures

The State of New Jersey’s Department of Human Services (NJDHS) Division of Family Development (DFD) is seeking a SQL Server DBA to design, manage, and maintain the relational/SQL databases, data warehouse, and reporting infrastructure for all applications within DFD. The ideal candidate will possess 7+ years of experience with SQL Schema management, 7+ years of experience using MS SQL Server 2008 and above, and 7+ years of experience with SQL/TSQL development, SSMS, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.
The SQL Server DBA will be tasked to:
- Design, manage, and maintain the relational/SQL databases, data warehouse, and reporting infrastructure for all applications within DFD
- Design, develop, and maintain database solutions and data warehousing
- Support enterprise application services
- Create report on analytics
- Support architecture design, data modeling, documentation, policies, and standards
- Analyze systems to integrate with future systems
- Maintain legacy reporting along with design
- Implement new reporting and data availability models
- Design, implement, and support data models, databases, and DW solutions
- Develop and implement OLTP schemas and comprehensive testing plans for validating data transformation and integration
- Develop key metrics to ensure integrity on data architecture
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and adhere to sprint deadlines
- Collaborate with teams of developers, the technical lead, architect, business SMEs, and project managers
- Recognize problems and respond
- Gather information systematically
- Sort through complex issues, seek input from others, and address root causes of issues
- Make timely and difficult decisions using consensus when possible
