Dantech is seeking a Senior IBM Mainframe Consultant to review and audit existing programs and assess/test IT controls. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of coding, testing, and debugging experience in COBOL, CICS, and DB2 as well as 3+ years of experience with IT controls CA-ACF2and CA-Top Secret.
* Note: This is a perfect role for a part-time senior mainframe specialist with clearance!
Required Skills/Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or 12+ years of relevant experience
- Public Trust with High Risk or Secret Clearance
- 7+ years of coding, testing, and debugging in COBOL
- 7+ years of coding, testing, and debugging in CICS
- 7+ years of coding, testing, and debugging in IBM/DB2
- 7+ years of experience with IBM OS/JCL (MVS)
- 7+ years of experience reverse engineering requirements
- 5+ years of developing supportive documentation
- 5+ years of mainframe testing
- 5+ years of excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 3+ years of experience with ACF2 or CA-ACF2 (Access Control Facility)
- 3+ years of experience with CA Top Secret for z/OS

Dantech is seeking a Senior IBM Mainframe Consultant to review and audit existing programs and assess/test IT controls. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of coding, testing, and debugging experience in COBOL, CICS, and DB2 as well as 3+ years of experience with IT controls CA-ACF2and CA-Top Secret.
This role will become an integral member of an existing client engagement that has been tasked with performing detailed technical and financial audits of a legacy system.
The Senior IBM Mainframe Consultant will be tasked to:
- Extract and assess business logic out of existing programs written in COBOL/CICS/DB2
- Devise and document test cases
- Analyze, design, code, and test all application code
- Go through the batch processing of existing systems to extract program logic, procs, and JCL and document them
- Collaborate with and provide technical expertise to develop solution
- Work with existing team to reach objectives and deliver project milestones
- Develop supportive documentation
- Participate with users to system test their programs
- Attain a complete understanding of the system and other integrated applications to develop from the business and system requirements
- Develop and receive program specification requirements
