Short Description
The State of New Jersey’s Transit Authority (NJTA) is seeking a Senior JIRA Administrator/Developer to function as the resident expert in Jira modules integration, implementation and development. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience as a Jira SME and 3+ years of Jira module migration and integration experience.
Required Skills/Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or relevant experience
- 3+ years of experience as a Jira SME
- 2+ years of implementing Jira Service Desk and Software projects
- 1+ years of working on projects that were started by another team or vendor
Desired Skills/Years of Experience:
- 3+ years of Jira module migration and integration experience
- 3+ years of MS Project or other tracking tool
- 2+ years of Business Analysis
- 2+ years of experience completing BRDs
- 1+ years of working with Insight Module of Jira
- 1+ years of working with Insight Discovery Module of Jira
- 1+ years of working with Confluence module of Jira
- 1+ years of working with outside suppliers and development teams as vendors

The State of New Jersey’s Transit Authority (NJTA) is seeking a Senior JIRA Administrator/Developer to function as the resident expert in Jira modules integration, implementation and development. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience as a Jira SME and 3+ years of Jira module migration and integration experience.
The Senior JIRA Administrator/Developer will be tasked to:
- Function as the resident expert in Jira modules integration
- Function as a Jira SME related to module integration, implementation and development
- Manage and administer JIRA service desk
- Monitor your own project
- Gather business requirements
- Map business requirements to JIRA configuration
- Monitor the system
- Merge disparate JIRA systems and modules
- Document a JIRA system and associated business rules
- Integrate with JIRA modules such as Insight, Insight Discovery and Confluence
- Be familiar with dynamic forms
- Be knowledgeable with other 3rd party Jira tools
- Translate gathered business requirements into appropriate JQL queries
- Determine Report, Dashboards, and Gadgets configuration for appropriate projects
- Determine the appropriate method to create/configure project workflows to meet gathered business needs
- Possess strong organizational skills and formal ability to address projects and timelines
