Short Description
The District of Columbia’s Department of Employment Services (DOES) is seeking a Senior .NET Architect to design and develop software that migrates data from a legacy system into a new .net third party SQL system. The Architect will support release management and system enhancements/integrations. The ideal candidate will have 16+ years of overall technical IT experience and 12+ years of architecture experience with a concentration on the .NET platform.
* This is a hands-on technical position with significant coding required.
Required Skills/Years of Experience
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
- 16+ years of Software Development Lifecycle
- 16+ years of progressive consulting leadership role in full lifecycle services
- 16+ years of developing requirements and architectures for deployed systems
- 12+ years of solution architecture and design
- 11+ years of web applications using C#, VB.Net, .Net Core, Angular, and SQL Server
- 11+ years of bi-directional traceability between source requirements and product or sub-product requirements
- 10+ years of server-side programming languages including Java
- 8+ years of designing microservices and APIs
- 8+ years of coding and programming languages
- 8+ years of design patterns and architectural styles
- 8+ years of software development process and corresponding technologies
- 8+ years of both front-end and back-end development
- 8+ years of large-scale distributed applications (traditional client/server, Service Oriented Architectures, and Microservice Architectures)
- 8+ years of DevOps tools: Docker, Git (GitLab, GitHub), Continuous Integration
- 8+ years of web technologies with mobile app design
- 8+ years of SQL, SQLDB design and development including Stored Procedures
- 6+ years of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), REST, and/or AWS or other cloud IAAS providers

The District of Columbia’s Department of Employment Services (DOES) is seeking a Senior .NET Architect to design and develop software that migrates data from a legacy system into a new .net third party SQL system. The Architect will support release management and system enhancements/integrations. The ideal candidate will have 16+ years of overall technical IT experience and 12+ years of architecture experience with a concentration on the .NET platform.
The Senior .NET Architect will be tasked to:
- Partner with multiple internal and external teams to design, develop, and deliver scalable solutions.
- Review and interpret functional specifications, design, code, and test systems solutions based on requirements.
- Maintain system documentation (both within the code and within technical design documents) to enable ease of analysis for future development.
- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of information solutions to address business opportunities.
- Participate in application and database design using various modeling tools and documentation methods.
- Develop web-based applications using Microsoft development technologies and a variety of database platforms.
- Analyze system issues and design, code and test system solutions which will resolve the issue.
