Short Description
The District of Columbia’s Department of Health Care Finance (DCHF) DC Access System (DCAS) project is currently seeking a Senior Cloud Consultant to design, implement, and monitor the system’s infrastructure and collaborate with other team members to develop automation, orchestration strategies and deployment processes. The ideal candidate will have proven professional experience in the design, development, and management/monitoring of native system infrastructure and cloud infrastructure in an enterprise environment.
Required Skills/Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field or equivalent
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- AWS Certified Developer
- 16+ years of gathering and documenting requirements/specifications
- 16+ years of MS Office/PowerPoint experience
- 16+ years of Software Development Life-cycle (SDLC)
- 7+ years of installing/configuring services (Apache, MySQL, nginx, etc.)
- 5+ years of X application v10.3 or higher
- 5+ years of load balancing firewalls, etc.
- 5+ years of functioning as an administrator for Dynatrace 1 Agent
- 5+ years of Oracle Cloud configuration and automation
- 5+ years of AWS Cloud configuration and automation
- 5+ years of Terraform with Ansible for Cloud infrastructure automation
- 5+ years as an administrator within LDAP for user management access
Complete Description
The District of Columbia’s Department of Health Care Finance (DCHF) DC Access System (DCAS) project is currently seeking a Senior Cloud Consultant to design, implement, and monitor the system’s infrastructure and collaborate with other team members to develop automation, orchestration strategies and deployment processes. The ideal candidate will have proven professional experience in the design, development, and management/monitoring of native system infrastructure and cloud infrastructure in an enterprise environment.
This individual will be working closely with the DHCF and its partner agencies to ensure the agencies’ priorities are met and will become an integral part of the DCAS Team, making every problem associated to the platform a problem of their own and will demonstrate the required initiative and critical thinking abilities necessary to resolve all problems and challenges accordingly.
The Senior Cloud Consultant will be tasked to:
- Manage the Cloud infrastructure
- Help tune performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure
- Design and develop infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools
- Develop and maintain configuration management solutions
- Develop test automation frameworks in collaboration with the rest of the team
- Create tools to help teams make the most out of the available infrastructure
- Manage the Disaster Recovery process
- Other related duties as assigned.
