The District of Columbia’s Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a QTP/UFT QA Engineer to develop the project software quality assurance plan and implement procedures, conforming to the requirements of the contract. The ideal candidate will have 16+ years of developing software quality assurance plans and 16+ years of developing test plans and procedures.
Required Skills/Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or relevant experience
- 16+ years of developing software quality assurance plans
- 16+ years of developing test plans and procedures
- 8+ years of designing, developing, and executing automated test cases from requirements (HP QTP/UFT, TestComplete, Selenium, etc.)
- 8+ years of designing, developing, and executing test plans and test cases using HP Quality Center/ALM for writing test cases and defect management
- 8+ years of leading all technical testing efforts (functional and automated)
- 8+ years of providing defect status and quality metrics to the project manager
- 8+ years of designing and supporting user interface testing applications and regression testing software
- 5+ years of knowledge of healthcare operations business processes
- 5+ years of knowledge of writing SQL queries
- 3+ years of Oracle 11G or 12c Database
Complete Description
The District of Columbia’s Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a QTP/UFT QA Engineer to develop the project software quality assurance plan and implement procedures, conforming to the requirements of the contract. The ideal candidate will have 16+ years of developing software quality assurance plans and 16+ years of developing test plans and procedures.
The QTP/UFT QA Engineer will be tasked to:
- Write a test plan based upon requirements
- Develop functional automated test scripts
- Develop and maintain any functional and regression tests
- Apply test methodology and product knowledge in design of tests and testing strategies
- Support testing of multiple major releases in coordination with development team/vendors
- Monitor testing activities and key internal deliverables
- Participate in design specification review and technical documentation review
- Create testing summary reports, communicating to management all testing results
- Work closely with the development team to ensure that defects are dealt with
- Help prioritize defects to be fixed
- Provide testing support for all Software Applications that are tested by SQA team
- Test across browser web applications
- Design test cases and execute all types of testing (functional, integration, end-to-end) on a variety of platforms (mobile, web, portal frameworks)
- Provide production support of software products by investigating and recreating reported defects
- Script SQL queries and utilize the Oracle 11g or 12c Database
- Work with multiple database interfaces and be familiar with standard web architectures
- Assist project teams in determining appropriate quality goals and acceptance criteria
- Develop and maintain repeatable and scalable automation test suites
- Generate manual test scenarios and test cases in a format that can be automated
- Work closely with development team to understand how product changes affect maintenance of test cases and the QA testing environments
- Participate in review sessions of business requirements
- Contribute to the entire SDLC (Agile and Waterfall preferred) from initial business requirements to deployment and production support
- Utilize HP Quality Center/ALM
- Conduct test case reviews and ensure requirements traceability and proper coverage
