The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of experience with business analysis, Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables), and functional testing.

Complete Description
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Health (DOH) is seeking a QA Tester to provide supplemental support to the Bureau’s internal Business Workflow Unit (BWU), specifically on the PAVRMS implementation, through business requirements and workflow, functional testing of the PAVRMS application, and post-implementation end-user support. The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of experience with business analysis, Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables), and functional testing.
The QA Tester will be tasked to:
- Provide supplemental support to the Bureau’s internal Business Workflow Unit (BWU), specifically on the PAVRMS implementation
- Understand business requirements and workflow, functional testing of the PAVRMS application, and post-implementation end-user support
- Evaluate the PAVRMS application functionality
- Work directly with program subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to document and understand business requirements and workflow
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the PAVRMS approved system design
- Develop and review test scripts to verify that the application meets business needs and functional design requirements
- Perform user acceptance system testing in the UAT/Staging environment
- Execute functional tests and end-to-end workflow testing, troubleshoot errors, and document defects
- Report issues to the vendor via JIRA tickets and monitor tickets in need of follow-up action and retesting
- Assist program SMEs in conducting verification testing in the production environment, providing guidance on system functionality and confirmation testing in UAT/staging
- Provide end-user support
- Assist in identifying potential deficiencies in application behavior and system workflow for escalation to the Business Workflow Manager, report confirmed defects to the vendor via JIRA, provide updates to SMEs on fix actions, and assist in retesting
- Work with SMEs to confirm expected system behavior, troubleshoot issues, resolve issues where possible, document and report defects, and provide guidance to SMEs
- Test, troubleshoot, and resolve issues reported by program
- Identify, document, and report defects in the application
- Monitor defect fixes, conducts retesting in UAT, and support verification testing in production
- Engage with program SMEs and stakeholders to verify PAVRMS application functionality aligns with business needs and functional design
