Short Description
The New Jersey Office of Attorney General (NJOAG) is seeking a PMO IT Project Manager to track current IT projects and consultant engagements, provide status updates, timelines, and perform deliverable check-ins with the major stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess 4+ years of project management tracking, 4+ years of consultant engagement tracking, and 4+ years of reviewing and enhancing existing IT systems.
Required Skills/Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience with project management tracking of current IT projects
- 4+ years of experience with tracking consultant engagements as they relate to the projects, timelines, and next steps
- 4+ years of experience making recommendations for project timelines
- 4+ years of experience with software tools such as Visio and Project to create documentation
- 4+ years of experience reviewing existing IT systems and identifying overlap to improve efficiencies
- 4+ years of experience assisting with the IT needs, consultant needs, dates, and cost estimates
- 4+ years of experience working on projects that follow Agile development practices
- 4+ years of experience following the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- 4+ years of experience interviewing subject matter experts and accurately documenting use cases and workflows

The New Jersey Office of Attorney General (NJOAG) is seeking a PMO IT Project Manager to track current IT projects and consultant engagements, provide status updates, timelines, and perform deliverable check-ins with the major stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess 4+ years of project management tracking, 4+ years of consultant engagement tracking, and 4+ years of reviewing and enhancing existing IT systems.
The PMO IT Project Manager will be tasked to:
- Track current IT projects and consultant engagements
- Review existing IT systems
- Make recommendations for next steps, staffing, and costs
- Provide status updates and timelines
- Perform deliverable check ins with the major stakeholders
- Demonstrate mastery of project management skills, qualifications and experience
- Work independently and maintain a high professional standard
- Work on extremely complex and/or high risk projects that reflect the highest priorities of state government
- Contribute to the furtherance of the states’ objectives
- Assist in statewide project portfolio management and/or IT Investment Management
