Short Description
The State of New Jersey’s Department of Agriculture’s State Agriculture Development Committee (DOA-SADC) is seeking an Oracle Forms Developer to add, create and correct data in an existing application database. The ideal candidate will have 9+ years of Oracle Database (11g, 12c) development including experience with table/schema design and database objects and 5+ years of Oracle Forms and Reports (11gR2 and higher versions).
Required Skills/Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or relevant experience
- 9+ years of Oracle Database (11g, 12c) development including experience with table/schema design and database objects
- 7+ years of PLSQL Developer (64-bit)
- 1+ years of working with database technologies
- 1+ years of writing SQL Queries
- 1+ years of creating stored procedures, functions, tables and other database objects
Desired Skills/Years of Experience:
- 5+ years of Oracle Forms and Reports (11gR2 and higher versions)
- 3+ years of Adobe Dynamic XML Forms
- 3+ years of Java Database Connection (JDBC)

The State of New Jersey’s Department of Agriculture’s State Agriculture Development Committee (DOA-SADC) is seeking an Oracle Forms Developer to add, create and correct data in an existing application database. The ideal candidate will have 9+ years of Oracle Database (11g, 12c) development including experience with table/schema design and database objects and 5+ years of Oracle Forms and Reports (11gR2 and higher versions).
The Oracle Forms Developer will be tasked to:
- Add, create and correct data in an existing application database
- Learn the business context quickly
- Make an impact by delivering solutions in a short time frame
- Understand current technology and new potential replacements
- Assist the customer with evaluating alternative technologies for the future
- Write SQL queries
- Create stored procedures, functions, table and other database objects
- Analyze business requirements to determine appropriate solutions for the customer’s needs
- Estimate and schedule one’s own work to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required
- Perform functional testing and debugging
- Investigate operational or systematic problems
- Evaluate user questions as needed
- Follow all department standards and methodologies
- Interact and communicate with all levels of staff, management and other customers
- Communicate effectively and clearly, in writing and verbally, in one-on-one and group presentation situations
- Work well both individually and in a highly collaborative team environment
