The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, Static) and configuring firewalls (Palo Alto, Sophos, Cisco, Fortinet) and 2+ years of using formal ticketing systems and supporting and troubleshooting Cisco Routers and Switches.
Required Skills/Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or relevant experience
- 2+ years of experience with ITIL Foundation and Process Driven Initiatives
- 2+ years of configuring and troubleshooting Checkpoint firewalls v77 or higher
- 2+ years of working with Network support and security issues
Desired Skills/Years of Experience:

The State of New Jersey’s Department of Human Services Central Office (NJDHS-CO) is seeking a Network Engineer to design, develop, and implement application infrastructure to provide applications and systems that meet client objectives and requirements. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, Static) and configuring firewalls (Palo Alto, Sophos, Cisco, Fortinet) and 2+ years of using formal ticketing systems and supporting and troubleshooting Cisco Routers and Switches.
The Senior Data Modeler will be responsible for the design, develop, and implementation of data warehouse database structures and analytical database structures. This role will work with business groups and application teams during pre and post assessment periods. The position reports to Supervisor/Team Lead. The Senior Data Modeler must write complex SQL statements and stored procedures for data analysis. The Senior Data Modeler must come to understand the needs of the business team and BI team for building a proper data warehouse and data mart. The Senior Data Modeler must develop structured and unstructured data models for BI and Analytics.
The Network Engineer will be tasked to:
- Understand and translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions for different Judiciary systems
- Work with the Application Development teams (ex: Pega Applications) to implement data strategies, build data flows and develop conceptual data models
- Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy
- Optimize and update logical and physical data models to support Data Initiative project for different phases of implementation
- Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models
- Recommend opportunities for reuse of data models in new environments
- Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases like DB2 and SQL scripts
- Evaluate data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies across the different source systems in Judiciary
- Analyze data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions and develop the model according to Judiciary Standards
- Work with all IT teams like System Analysts, Engineers, Programmers, BI and others on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces
- Review modifications to existing software to improve efficiency and performance
