Short Description
The State of Delaware’s Department of Transportation, Technology and Support Services (DelDOT) is seeking a Network Administrator to diagnose, troubleshoot, track, and record all computer-related incidents. The ideal candidate will possess 3+ years of troubleshooting and diagnosing hardware and software issues, 3+ years of experience and proficiency in support, configuration and reliable operation of Windows 7 and 10 OS, and 2+ years of installing, configuring, supporting, and maintaining physical and virtual servers.
Required Skills/Years of Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience troubleshooting and diagnostic of hardware and software
- 3+ years experience and proficiency in support, configuration and reliable operation of Windows 7 and 10 OS
- 2+ years of experience installing, configuring, supporting and maintaining physical and some virtual Windows Servers
- 1+ year of experience working with System management solutions to provision, deploy, update and troubleshoot end-user devices
- 1+ year of experience and proficiency in Support, Configuration and reliable operation of Mac OS
- 1+ year experience with one or more of the following: KACE, SCCM, BigFix,or MDT
- 1+ year excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
- 1+ year knowledge of reading and writing Powershell Code
- 1+ year building Software Packages for one of the following systems SCCM, BigFix, MDT, KACE SMA in an enterprise environment.
- A valid driver's license and reliable car to help transport equipment to other counties if requested
Desired Skills/Years of Experience:
- 1+ year of experience and proficiency in support, configuration and reliable operation of Android OS
- 1+ year of experience with customer service, oral, and written communication
- 1+ year of experience and proficiency in support, configuration and reliable operation of iOS
- 1+ year of experience and proficiency in support, configuration and reliable operation of Linux

The State of Delaware’s Department of Transportation, Technology and Support Services (DelDOT) is seeking a Network Administrator to diagnose, troubleshoot, track, and record all computer-related incidents. The ideal candidate will possess 3+ years of troubleshooting and diagnosing hardware and software issues, 3+ years of experience and proficiency in support, configuration and reliable operation of Windows 7 and 10 OS, and 2+ years of installing, configuring, supporting, and maintaining physical and virtual servers.
The Network Administrator will be tasked to:
- Execute DTI Service Desk contact, problem, incident and request management policies and procedures
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and track all computer-related incidents
- Escalate problems and incidents to designated level 2 and level 3 help desk support entities
- Report incident status and system outage notifications to customers, technical staff and applicable management entities
- Log incidents and problem resolution activities into a computerized tracking system
- Maintain a robust and accurate knowledge base repository
- Provide hands-on PC and peripheral equipment troubleshooting, repair and installation support
- Generate help desk related performance statistics, as required.
- Train support staff, as required
- Perform other tasks, as assigned
