The District of Columbia’s Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) is seeking a MicroStrategy Reports Developer to create and maintain data sets pulled from its SQL Server data warehouse and configure them for dashboard development. The ideal candidate must possess 11+ years of designing, creating, deploying, and managing data architecture, 11+ years of defining and implementing data security, quality enforcement, and retention policies, and 11+ years of working with large data sets.
Required Skills/Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
- BI Tools certifications (MicroStrategy)
- 11+ years of experience designing, creating, deploying, and managing data architecture in an enterprise environment
- 11+ years of experience defining and implementing data security, quality enforcement, and retention policies
- 11+ years of experience working with large data sets
- 8+ years of experience in MIS / IT
- 6+ years of experience designing MSTR BI/Analytics solution specifications
- 6+ years of experience developing technical design documents
- 5+ years of experience testing of enterprise-wide BI applications (MicroStrategy)

The District of Columbia’s Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) is seeking a MicroStrategy Reports Developer to create and maintain data sets pulled from its SQL Server data warehouse and configure them for dashboard development. The ideal candidate must possess 11+ years of designing, creating, deploying, and managing data architecture, 11+ years of defining and implementing data security, quality enforcement, and retention policies, and 11+ years of working with large data sets.
The MicroStrategy Reports Developer will be tasked to:
- Create and maintain data sets to support DBH’s MicroStrategy Business Intelligence platform
- Participate in all SDLC phases and model data
- Develop MicroStrategy project metadata
- Work with data relationships, hierarchies, and hybrid data models
- Support production, platform maintenance, and system enhancements
- Understand the business logic and data contained within BI projects
- Participate in requirements gathering and documentation to define dashboards and reporting solutions to meet agency needs
- Work with complex reports, report services documents (write-back), Dossier (dashboards), metrics, filters, built-in and user defined functions
- Write custom SQL like self-join, nested queries to troubleshoot complex data issues
