The State of New Jersey’s Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a Microsoft Network Administrator to provide LAN, User, Database, and IIS support. The ideal candidate will possess 7+ years of MS Server administration, 7+ years of network configuration, and 5+ years of user provisioning and support.
Required Skills/Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience with Microsoft Server Administration
- 7+ years of experience with network configuration and maintenance
- 5+ years of experience with user provisioning
- 5+ years of experience with knowledge base / task management reporting using JIRA
- 5+ years of experience with remote support tools
- 5+ years of experience with GPO creation, configuration and maintenance
- 5+ years of experience with Enterprise hardware / software
- 3+ years of experience with server virtualization
- 2+ years of experience with installation, configuration and maintenance of MS SQL Server
- 2+ years of experience with installation, configuration and maintenance of MS ISS7
- 2+ years of experience with SCCM
- 2+ years of experience with logical architecture documentation
Desired Skills/Years of Experience:
- 2+ years of experience with SEIM integration
- 2+ years of experience with MS Exchange configuration and troubleshooting

Complete Description
The State of New Jersey’s Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a Microsoft Network Administrator to provide LAN, User, Database, and IIS support. The ideal candidate will possess 7+ years of MS Server administration, 7+ years of network configuration, and 5+ years of user provisioning and support.
The Microsoft Network Administrator will be tasked to:
- Perform advanced technical and application support functions
- Perform knowledgebase documentation with a focus on network needs
- Perform knowledgebase documentation with a focus on Division Infrastructure needs
- Participate in team meetings with a focus on internal systems support needs
- Participate in team meetings with a focus on Division infrastructure needs
- Perform Active Directory management
- Provision application and server access
- Provide tier 2 and tier 3 trouble ticket support for DDD core applications
- Provide tier 2 and tier 3 trouble ticket support for DDD workstations, printers and other network devices
- Document tier 2 and tier 3 ticket solutions for DDD core applications
- Document tier 2 and tier 3 ticket solutions for DDD workstations, printers and other network devices
- Install and configure Division specific core applications
- Upgrade and maintain Division specific core applications
- Perform Hardware Provisioning
- Perform Technology and Equipment Inventory Tracking
- Perform GPO Management
- Install and configure servers and virtual machines
- Perform advanced network device configuration and installation
- Update and create disaster recovery plans
- Perform backup and restore processes
- Keep application, server and network equipment patched
