Short Description
The State of New Jersey’s Administrative Office of the Courts (NJAOC) is seeking a Java Websphere Developer to design, implement, code, test, and document new or existing web based applications. The ideal candidate will possess 9+ years of overall technical and IT experience, 9+ years of experience using Java SE Stack, and 9+ years of experience using Java EE Stack.
Required Skills/Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
- 9+ years of experience using Java SE Stack
- 9+ years of experience using Java EE Stack
- 9+ years of experience with business tier logic and transactional management using EJB 3.x
- 9+ years of experience with HTML4, XML, CSS, and JavaScript
- 9+ years of experience with SQL
- 9+ years of experience with Source Control
- 9+ years of experience developing supportive documentation
- 9+ years of experience Usability Testing (participate with the users in the system testing of their programs)

Complete Description
The State of New Jersey’s Administrative Office of the Courts (NJAOC) is seeking a Java Websphere Developer to design, implement, code, test, and document new or existing web based applications. The ideal candidate will possess 9+ years of overall technical and IT experience, 9+ years of experience using Java SE Stack, and 9+ years of experience using Java EE Stack.
The Java Websphere Developer will be tasked to:
- Design, implement, code, test, and document web based applications using Java’s JSF, Java’s JAX-WS, and JAX-RS
- Design and construct J2EE systems, develop system requirements and design specifications, and code J2EE for new and existing applications
- Develop frontend web applications using Java Server Faces (JSF)
- Work with ORM frameworks, such as JAVA’s JPA specification implementation, e.g. Hibernate, TopLink, or a non-JPA based framework such as MyBatis
- Develop EJBs (Enterprise Java Beans)
- Work with Service Oriented Architectures, including developing REST and SOAP Web Services using JAVA’s JAX-WS and JAX-RS specification
- Run SQL queries
- Perform Web Services Security
- Work with business leaders and analysts to understand functional and non-functional requirements while crafting a technical solution leveraging company and industry best practices and standards
- Use Microsoft Team Foundation Server or IBM ClearCase source control systems
- Perform web development using JSF framework
- Code in Java/J2EE, Servlets, EJB, JDBC, JPA, JSF, JSP, JNDI, JAX-WS, JAX-RS, and JAX-B
- Work with continuous integration environment
- Demonstrate expertise in teaching, conveying technical and or functional courses and concepts
- Develop appropriate work programs and use to effectively schedule tasks and assignments
- Identify improvements to project standards to achieve high quality services and products
- Write code to create single and multi-threaded or user interface event driven applications, either stand-alone and those which access servers or services
- Design, implement, and test database schemas
- Use source debuggers and visual development environments
- Write code to generate web pages, access databases and business logic servers
- Develop specifications, prototypes, or initial user guides
- Create visual modeling or diagramming of the current and proposed workflows
- Assist in the development of processes and procedure
- Work with object-oriented design, data structures, web design, database design, and object relational mapping
- Work with Java frameworks such as JSF, Spring, and Hibernate
- Participate in discussions and design of application security and architecture
- Test application changes and put together test plans
- Troubleshoot reported complex production errors (application, infrastructure, performance)
- Implement complex user stories/use cases
- Integrate with enterprise products/systems
