Required Skills/Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical experience
- 7+ years of experience developing Java applications
- 7+ years of experience performance tuning existing systems
- 7+ years of experience with REST web services
- 3+ years of experience using JAVA 8 and above
- 2+ years of experience upgrading versions of Java
- 1+ years of experience integrating Java with relational databases
- 1+ years of experience running Java applications in Linux environments
Desired Skills/Years of Experience:
- Java Certification
- 2+ years of experience using GIT
- 1+ years of experience programming in Angular 11+
Complete Description
The State of New Jersey’s Administrative Office of the Courts (NJAOC) is seeking a Java Team Lead to focus on all new upgrades and feature development of existing applications. The ideal candidate will possess 7+ years of Java development and tuning experience as well as Angular development experience.
The Java Team Lead will be tasked to:
- Lead/Participate in design discussions, prototype development
- Refactor code for latest database and hardware technologies
- Aggregate, track, and monitor all Java exceptions to find critical problems, new errors, and monitor error rates over time
- Handle performance tuning and code optimization
- Learn, understand, and handle data lake fundamentals
- Participate in the design of new or changing programs
- Follow high quality database development standards
- Optimize connections via multiple types of services: Batch, API, Services, and Optimize read DB traffic
- Use Active Data Guard (ADG) to seamlessly connect reporting read queries to logical when needed
- Implement efficient DB partitioning
- Plan and design high performance DB usage design on Linux based hardware
