The State of New Jersey’s Department of Health (NJDOH) is seeking a Java Developer (Oracle ADG) to aggregate, track, and monitor all Java Exceptions to find critical problems and new errors. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of developing applications in Java and 2+ years of working with GIT.
Required Skills/Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or relevant field
- 7+ years of developing applications in Java
- 7+ years of REST Webservice
- 7+ years of experience with performance tuning of existing systems
- 3+ years of JAVA 8 and above
- 2+ years of upgrading versions of Java
Desired Skills/Years of Experience:
- 2+ years of working with GIT
- 1+ years of Angular programming
- 1+ years of Active Data Guard
Complete Description
The State of New Jersey’s Department of Health (NJDOH) is seeking a Java Developer (Oracle ADG) to aggregate, track, and monitor all Java Exceptions to find critical problems and new errors. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of developing applications in Java and 2+ years of working with GIT.
The Java Developer (Oracle ADG) will be tasked to:
- Aggregate, track, and monitor all Java Exceptions to find critical problems and new errors
- Monitor error rates over time
- Help identify the cause of memory leaks
- Handle Performance Tuning and Code Optimization
- Handle and understand Data Lake Fundamentals
- Participate in the design of new or changing programs
- Follow high quality database development standards
- Lead and participate in design discussions and prototype development
- Refactor code for latest database and hardware technologies
- Optimize connections via multiple types of services (Batch, API, Services)
- Optimize and read DB traffic
- Use Active Data Guard (ADG) to seamlessly connect reporting read queries to logical when needed
- Implement efficient DB partitioning
- Plan and design high performance DB usage design on Linux based hardware
