The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is seeking a IT Support Technician to perform daily workstation operations at the Delivery Center Server Farm, including maintenance and support of endpoints, both on-site and remote. The ideal candidate must have a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License and reliable transportation, 3+ years of experience supporting Windows 10 and MacOSX devices in organizations with 500+ users, and 3+ years of experience supporting endpoints (SCCM, SCOM, and Active Directory).

Required Skills/Years of Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- 3+ years of experience supporting Windows 10 and MacOSX devices in organizations with 500+ users
- 3+ years of experience supporting endpoints (SCCM, SCOM, and Active Directory)
- 1+ years of workstation management knowledge of SCCM
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft PowerShell, batch, and VB script languages
- 1+ years of experience with technical writing and documentation library management
- 1+ years of knowledge of IT Project Management techniques and processes
Desired Skills/Years of Experience:
- CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows 10 and Apple OSX administration

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is seeking a IT Support Technician to perform daily workstation operations at the Delivery Center Server Farm, including maintenance and support of endpoints, both on-site and remote. The ideal candidate must have a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License and reliable transportation, 3+ years of experience supporting Windows 10 and MacOSX devices in organizations with 500+ users, and 3+ years of experience supporting endpoints (SCCM, SCOM, and Active Directory).
The IT Support Technician will be tasked to:
- Perform daily workstation operations at the Delivery Center Server Farm, including maintenance and support of endpoints, both on-site and remote
- Perform implementation, management, support, and maintenance of various system software products and hardware components that comprise enterprise endpoint computing
- Provide system engineers with technical support for break/fix issues as needed
- Monitor Remedy incident queues for issues, take ownership, and assist customers as needed
- Keep all support tickets up to date and well documented
- Update technical support documentation as needed and create new documentation on issue resolution for other teams
- Actively work with other endpoint technical teams including SCCM, SCOM, and Active Directory
- Engage with vendors as directed by the endpoint manager to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Perform other duties as assigned by the endpoint manager
- Obtain requirements and work closely with technical teams and management to deliver robust and secure solutions for technical issues
- Demonstrate knowledge with a variety of software tools, including those related to support and implementation of endpoints
- Provide consultation and knowledge transfer with respect to software tools, hardware components, and peripherals
- Demonstrate interest in current and emerging technologies through training, job experience, certifications, education, and/or industry activities
- Collaborate well with others to solve problems and actively incorporate input from various sources
- Demonstrate a customer focus, building and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Demonstrate strong analytical problem-solving skills
