The State of New Jersey’s Automated Trial Court Services Unit (NJATCSU) is seeking an IT Business Analyst to provide consultation on projects involving critical data processing systems for the New Jersey Judiciary. The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of experience developing systems via a structured SDLC methodology, 5+ years of experience with UI design, and 5+ years of experience documenting storyboards, screening mockups, wireframes, system flows, interfaces, use cases, and business rules.
Required Skills/Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of equivalent study under the direction of the supervisor of the business analyst team or designated project leader
- 5+ years of experience developing systems via a structured SDLC methodology
- 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft Visio
- 5+ years of experience providing testing, training, and user support
- 5+ years of experience with UI design
- 5+ years of experience analyzing and documenting complex business processes, workflows, and identifying areas that need improvement
- 5+ years of experience gathering data via diverse means (i.e. interviews, observation, surveys, existing written documentation) and interpreting relevant information
- 5+ years of experience documenting storyboards, screening mockups, wireframes, system flows, interfaces, use cases, and business rules

The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of experience developing systems via a structured SDLC methodology, 5+ years of experience with UI design, and 5+ years of experience documenting storyboards, screening mockups, wireframes, system flows, interfaces, use cases, and business rules.
The IT Business Analyst will be tasked to:
- Apply excellent communication and customer service skills
- Develop workflows, mockups, requirements, testing, and production support for projects
- Utilize excellent communication and customer service skills
- Apply strong skills in Microsoft Visio
- Develop systems with a structured SDLC methodology
- Test, train, and provide user support
- Work with UI design
- Analyze and document complex business processes and workflows, and propose areas for improvement
- Gather data via diverse means (i.e. interviews, observation, surveys, existing written documentation) and interpret relevant information
- Test and work on the help desk
- Document storyboards, screen mockups, wireframes, system flows, interfaces, use cases, and business rules
- Provide customer service and troubleshoot user reported issues
- Develop and document business requirements
- Create User Interface mockups
- Assist the technical teams in the development and documentation of technical requirements
- Test the resultant software (including user Acceptance Testing)
- Create instruction manuals and teach the system to end users
- Perform limited project management functions
- Apply accredited graduate training in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related area
