Short Description
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Office of Administration is seeking an Enterprise Cloud Solution Architect to design, implement, configure, test, administer, and manage enterprise hybrid cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess 3+ years as a Solution Architect and/or Cloud Engineer, 3+ years of design and implementation security, and 3+ years with standards/best practices in an enterprise hosting environment.
Required Skills/Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience as a Solution Architect and/or Cloud Engineer
- 3+ years of experience with design and implementation security
- 3+ years of experience with standards/best practices in an enterprise hosting environment
- 3+ years of experience architecting Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud services
- 3+ years of experience as a Microsoft Azure Solution Architect and Administrator
- 3+ years of experience with a strong working knowledge of Azure and AWS
- 3+ years of experience with Azure Enterprise Agreement managing departments and accounts
- 3+ years of experience with Azure Enterprise Agreement subscriptions (cost management and billing solutions)
- 3+ years of experience working with diverse agencies to anticipate needs and exceed expectations
- 3+ years of experience demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills
- 3+ years of experience demonstrating project management, change management, and problem-solving skills
Complete Description
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Office of Administration is seeking an Enterprise Cloud Solution Architect to design, implement, configure, test, administer, and manage enterprise hybrid cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess 3+ years as a Solution Architect and/or Cloud Engineer, 3+ years of design and implementation security, and 3+ years with standards/best practices in an enterprise hosting environment.
The Enterprise Cloud Solution Architect will be tasked to:
- Act as a point of contact for cloud related questions, technical expertise, and support problems
- Provide communications to management including rapid notification of issues that impact the enterprise cloud environment
- Design and implement cloud architectures and cloud technologies that meet technical, security, and business needs.
- Provide expert level guidance on IT issues relating to cloud technologies
- Work with delivery center teams to define cloud architecture, design, and implementation plans for hosting IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS workloads on Azure and AWS
- Work with security team to ensure cloud solutions meet all security policy requirements
- Design cloud auditing solutions to increase security stance and minimize risk of data loss and protection
- Assist with business continuity planning, which includes capacity planning, availability, and disaster recovery options available in the cloud
- Provide incident resolution focusing on root cause analysis, prevention, and knowledge transfer
- Create and maintain support documentation, architecture diagrams, and communications
- Manage escalations with cloud service providers and vendors for resolution of operational and design issues
