The State of New Jersey’s Department of Human Services Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services (NJDHS-DMHAS) is seeking a .NET Developer to analyze, design, develop, test, install, and maintain information systems and act as an interface with customers and other developers to determine the most efficient and cost-effective approach to meet business requirements. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of .NET framework 4.5 or above.
Required Skills/Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of .NET framework 4.5 or above
- 5+ years of programming with C# (writing new code and maintaining old code)
- 5+ years of expertise with ASP.NET MVC environments
- 5+ years of SQL Server 2012 and above (using TSQL to write Stored Procedures)
- 3+ years of high level expertise with JavaScript for client side validation
- 3+ years of Visual Studio v2017 and above
- 2+ years of maintaining old code on Microsoft ASP.NET Web Forms
- 1+ years of SQL Server Reporting Services
- 1+ years of SQL Server database backup and recovery, data loading, data modeling, creating and maintaining databases, and SQL Jobs

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of .NET framework 4.5 or above.
The .NET Developer will be tasked to:
- Analyze, design, develop, test, install, and maintain information systems
- Act as an interface with customers and other developers to determine the most efficient and cost-effective approach to meet business requirements
- Demonstrate a broad understanding of the applications, technical architectures, and a number of critical technical skills that are key to the success of the business
- Bring technical knowledge from external sources and incorporate those ideas into IT
- Independently translate business and technical requirements into well-engineered, tested, and deployed business application systems
- Resolve bugs
- Do performance tuning
- Write stored procedures using TSQL
- Perform database backup and recovery, data loading, and data modeling
- Create and maintain databases, SQL jobs, and other database components
